Day 1 - Welcome to Delhi!
The first stop of your Yoga and Meditation Holiday is your arrival at the Delhi International Airport. Delhi is India's second largest metropolis next to Mumbai, which is located in the northern part of the country. The architectural features in the city are similar to those which can be seen in Athens, Rome and Istanbul.
Day 2 - Exploring Delhi
Day 2 of Yoga and Meditation Holiday is a detailed exploration of the old and new city of Delhi. Be mesmerized with the sight of the 33-meter high red stone boundary walls of Red Fort which was built in the 17th century. Opposite this ancient structure is the Jama Masjid, built in 1656.
Found in front of the Jama Masjid is the 1656-construction of red sandstone and white marble. It is the largest mosque in India where 20,000 people can pray together. You can also get a feel of how to ride a Rickshaw along the streets of old Delhi. It also runs counter to the Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi (Father of the Nation) Memorial, which is close to the river Yamuna. Next, you will visit the Humayun Tomb of the second Mughal emperor, which was complemented by his wife in the 16th century. Shahjahan gave the idea for the structure of the Taj Mahal. The Qutub Minar, a 72-meter high tower made by one of the first Muslim leaders in India, was built between 1199 and 1368. It runs counter to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the residence of the President of India. From hereon you can see the buildings of government and parliament and India Gate which is 42-meters high - this was built in memory of the soldiers who died in the First World War.
Day 3 - From Delhi, to Haridwar, to Rishikesh (By Train)
For the third day of our Yoga and Meditation Holiday, you will be brought to the railway station to board the Express Shatabdi train for Haridwar , then on to Rishikesh by car. Rishikesh is well known through its many Ashrams and yoga centers. Today it is a meeting place for European, who learns here yoga and meditation and study Hindu religion and philosophy.
Day 4 - Learning about Rishikesh
For day 4 of our Yoga and Meditation Holiday, you will attend early morning yoga , then visit the Omkaranda Ashram also well known as Durga Mandir. Here, classes in Hindi, Sanskrit, music and classical dance are offered. You will also get to visit the Swarg Ashram, one of the oldest Ashrams in Rishikesh.
Day 5 - Exploring Rishikesh
Just like the day before, you will attend early yoga classes. The afternoon is free for pursuing your own activities or you can go for the optional tour, which includes river rafting or half day temple tour.
Day 6 - Rishikesh
For day 6 of our Yoga and Meditation Holiday, you can drive along the Ganges River towards Vashist Guffa Cave after early yoga classes. Try meditating in this cave will be a unique experience.
Day 7 - Rishikesh
As usual, there are early morning yoga classes, then you can go for optional trips to Devprayag where you will drive to an important city of the Hindus, Karanprayag, then you can visit the Karna temples.
Day 8 - Rishikesh
There are early morning yoga classes, afternoon meditation and therapy classes.
Day 9 - From Rishikesh, to Haridwar, to Delhi (By Train)
For day 9 of our Yoga and Meditation Holiday, you can attend early morning yoga classes then check out of the hotel and drive to Haridwar, one of the holiest places of Hindus in India. Early in the morning, attend yoga classes and after breakfast. Then check the hotel and lead to Haridwar. Haridwar is located at the foot of the Sivalik Mountain, which is also among the holiest places of Hindus in India. The fairy tale legends around gods and kings find their expression in the wonderful buildings, as in the Har Ki Pauri Ghat, a sanctuary carries an impression of the foot of God Vishnu. All twelve years is held by the religious meeting "Kumbha Mela" and every six years, "Ardh Kumbha ".
So far, Haridwar is visited by millions of followers, who come here to bathe in Ganges. Your trip to Haridwar will really surprise you. First, you will visit the Sapt Rishi Ashram and the Sapt Sarovar. The Hindu mythology says that here Ganges itself divided into seven rivers, in order not to disrupt the seven Rishis (sapt) occupied by their prayers. Later, we pass as a result of holy temple of Daksha Mahadev and Sati Kund, located in the resort Kankhal. Sati Kund is the place, according to Hindu mythology, Sati, the first wife of Lord Shiva, died at the death. Also, visit the Maya Devi temple on the hill Bilwa Parvat. Enjoy the antenna cable wonderful perspective on Haridwar. At 6:00 PM, on board your train in Delhi. Arriving at approximately 12:00 AM In Delhi. Finally, visit the Maya Devi temple on hill Bilwa Parvat, after which you will board your train to Delhi and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 10 - Final Stop: Delhi
For the final day of our Yoga and Meditation Holiday Today, you will be transferred to the International Airport for your next journey.
