Day 1 - Welcome to Bangalore!
The first stop of Top India Travel’s South India Karnataka tour package is your arrival at the Bangalore International airport. This city is the ‘Information Technology Center” and the largest-growing metropolis in India.
Day 2 - Exploring Bangalore
After breakfast on day 2 of your South India Karnataka tour package, you will first visit the Lal Bagh Botanical garden, created in the 18th century which now has more than 1,800 different tropical, sub-tropical and medical plants. Afterwards, you will visit the following tourist spots: the monolithic Statute of God Shiva's vehicle, the Holy Nandi Bull and you will also get to view Vidhan Sabha’s impressive façade.
Day 3 - From Bangalore to Mysore
For the third day of your South India Karnataka tour package, you will drive to Mysore, after which you will visit the Srirangapatnam summer palace, the mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, the Mysore Palace, the Chamundi Hills and the wonderful Brindavan Gardens. Along the way, Srirangapatnam visit summer palace and the mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, and the courageous leader, who ruled much of southern India during the 18 th century. In addition lead to Mysore.
Upon arrival and transfer to the hotel for rest and refreshment, you will go on an afternoon hiking. Mysore was an ancient capital, and is now the second largest city in Karnataka. It is a beautiful city with palaces, gardens, parks and museums. Sandalwood incense sticks are made here. In the spring, jasmine flowers bloom. Mysore visited the palace in 1857, where once the Wodeyars resided. This is the largest palace in the country. After continue to Chamundi Hills, where the temple of Durga (Chamundeswari) celebrates the victory over buffalo God. On the road, there was a Nandi monolith 1659, a large statue of Bull. Also, visit wonderful Brindavan Gardens. You will go back to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 4 - Excursion to Somnathpur
On day 4, you can visit an incense factory and a center of crafts such as sandalwood, rosewood and teak carvings - all for which Mysore is famous. In the afternoon, go on trips to Somnathpur, 45 kilometers east of Msyore. This small village has the best stop and just completed Hoysala temple, out of the 13th century from the former 80 temples of this period. Later on, you will go to a small village called Somnathpur featuring a completed Hoysala temple.
Day 5 - From Mysore, to Sravanbelagola, to Hassan
For day 5 of your South India Karnataka tour package, you will first visit Hassan, then move on to Saravanbelagola, which is one of the universally known Jain Pilgrimage centers. You can also see the17-meter high Gommatheswara statue which is the largest monolith of the world. Then, the drive will continue to Hassan, after which you will visit Belur and Halebid where you will see beautiful Indian temples built in the 12th and 13th century, then you will go back to Hassan for the night.
Day 6 - From Hassan to Hospet
After a long day, you can visit Hospet and rest or explore to your heart’s content.
Day 7 - Excursion to Hampi
On day 7, you will visit a world heritage site called Hampi. This gigantic city emerged in 1336, and for 200 years was the capital of the Vijayanagar.
Day 8 - From Hospet, to Pattadakal, to Aihole, to Badami
For the eighth day of your South India Karnataka tour package, you will first visit Badami, then move on to Aihole and Pattadakal. Pattadakal is a world heritage site because of its temples situated on the bank of River Malaprabha. On the way to Badami, make excursions to Aihole and Pattadakal. Aihole was the capital of the Chalukyas of the 4th to 7th century. Today, this small village temple has more than houses. About 70 temples are Hindu temple master works of art and architecture. Also, visit Pattadakal, a World Heritage site because of its temples on the river bank Malaprabha. In addition lead to Badami, a town between two rocky spurs and an artificial lake. The caves lie here, in the vicinity of 5th and 6th century show gods Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. After the tour, you can go back to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 9 - From Badami, to Belgaum, to Goa
The first item on the list is to drive to Goa, after which you can visit Belgaum, a beautifully picturesque town. A drive to Goa and a soak in the beach will conclude the ninth day of the South India Karnataka tour.
Day 10 - Exploring Goa
As you near the end of the tour, you can spend half the day sightseeing, visiting the Miramar Beach, the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the city of Panjim which is bustling with shops and tourists.
Day 11 - Goa
From here on, you can spend the day at leisure, enjoy water sports at the beach, go for a swim and explore the wonderful shops in Goa.
Day 12 - Goa
Still another day spent at leisure - enjoying the sun, sand and beach in Goa.
Day 13 - Final Stop: From Goa to Mumbai (By Air)
On the last day of South India Karnataka tour, you will go to the Goa airport for a flight to Mumbai. You can either see more of Mumbai or wait at leisure until the flight arrives for your next destination, either at your home country or to an other vacation spot.
