Policy Regarding CANCELLATION / NO SHOW / EARLY DEPARTURE

In the event of cancellation of your travel arrangements due to any reason, we must be notified in writing by the dates noted below. Cancellation charges as noted below will be based on the time and date (and the number of days) we receive your cancellation information in writing.

After you have booked your Tour with Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd, any cancellation will incur a minimum 10% service charge. Other Cancellation charges above and beyond the minimum 10% service charge includes a percentage of the total cost of the Tour and any actual service cost (which includes train tickets, airline tickets, and any other costs incurred by Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd prior to the Tour). Cancellation fees would be as follows:

  • 120 days prior to arrival - 5% of the Tour + Actual service cost (like train tickets etc.)
  • 120 - 61 days prior to arrival - 10% of the Tour + Actual service cost
  • 60 - 31 days prior to arrival - 25% of the Tour + Actual service cost
  • 30 - 16 days prior to arrival - 40% of the Tour + Actual service cost
  • 15 - 07 days prior to arrival - 60% of the tour + Actual service cost.
  • 06 days - 72 hours prior to arrival - 75% of the tour + Actual service cost.
  • Less than 72hours or No Show - No Refund

Special train journeys (like Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey, Royal Orient etc.) and/or high peak season hotel bookings (from 20th December to 15th January) have a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which would be advised at the time of the Tour booking).

There is also a seperate cancellation policy for some hotels like the Oberoi Hotels--Hotel The Oberoi New Delhi, Amar Vilas Agra, Raj Vilas Jaipur, Vanya Vilas Ranthambhore, Udaivilas Udaipur,Trident hotels, Taj Hotels, Casino Group of Hotels, and Hotel Imperial New Delhi--as these hotels are charging for 1 night retention charges if cancelled or amended 30 days in advance, and retention for the entire stay if cancelled or amended 8 days prior to arrival.

There are a few hotels which normally ask for a non- refundable deposit at the time of booking including hotels in Goa during peak period, Bangaram Island Resort - Lakshdweep, hotels in the Buddhist sector, Port Blair, Surya Samudra in Kovalam, Kabini River Lodge, Teekhi Magri in Rajasthan, Haveli Braj Bhushan Ji in Bundi Rajasthan, Hospet and Badami, the Maldives etc. Please check with us regarding the refund policy for the above mentioned hotels.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, your refund would be restricted to a limited amount dependent upon the amount Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodations, chartered transportation, guide services and missed meals etc. there will be no refund issued.

ALTERATIONS TO THE TOUR: Occasionally changes may be made to your travel arrangements. We reserve the right to make those changes at any time deemed necessary, and will advise you of such changes at the earliest possible date. These changes may be the result of a major event or similar reasons beyond our control, delays in departures, weather conditions, overbooking or closure of a hotel, strikes, riots, decisions by State Governments or Tourist Organizations, altering the itinerary, the duration of time spent at a location of even omitting a destination or part of the itinerary due to the local situation. In such cases we will offer comparable alternative arrangements, if possible, but if not, Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd will make an appropriate refund to you commensurate with the nature of the change.

TRAVEL INSURANCE : We encourage you to obtain travel insurance from your local travel insurance provider.

Arrival and Departure Policy

Check In: 1200 Hours
Early arrival is subject to availability. For guaranteed early check-in, the reservation needs to be made starting the previous night.

Check Out: 1200 Hours
Later check-outs are available on request and subject to availability and payment.

Mode of Payment

Advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer to our bank. Upon arrival in INDIA, the payment can be made in cash. In case of payment through credit card, a small bank processing fee would be applicable on the amount being paid.

Our liabilities & limitations

All efforts will be made to maintain the contract made by our organization with its customers but there are always possibilities of certain Items like airfares, entrance fee at the monuments or drastic increase in fuel costs etc. without any notice from the Government authorities. In such FORCE MAJEUR, the difference in the cost would be borne by the customers. Culture Holidays, New Delhi acts only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways and contractors providing other services. All exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets issued by Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd are issued subject to terms and conditions under which these services are provided by the actual suppliers.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or even after the commencement of the tour. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants safety, comfort and general well being.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes, the rates quoted before the modification,\ can be changed by us according to the modifications made by the hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on the hotels' usual check in and check out time unless indicated in the itinerary.

Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd shall not be responsible for any delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred - directly or indirectly - due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of transportation, weather, sickness, landslides, closures/blocades due to political unrest or any such incidents.

Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting - directly or indirectly - from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

Classic Holidays (India) Pvt. Ltd does not hold any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country prior to arrival. All baggages and personal property are at risk and the responsibility of the client. Our transport is insured as per the Indian Motor Vehicles Act and claims, if any, will be made as per the rules of the Insurance Companies in Indian Rupees.
