Day 1 - Arrival Delhi
Arrival from your country to Delhi International airport. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Delhi is the capital of the giant country India with more than 16 millions inhabitants. Delhi can measure itself based on its cultural, architectural and above all historical wealth thoroughly with cities like Athens , Rome and Istanbul.
Day 2 - Delhi - Chandigarh
After breakfast, drive to Chandigarh (250 km). Arrival and transfer to hotel. Afternoon go for city excursion. The Indian city Chandigarh, that itself the status of a union territory enjoys, is at the same time the capital both Indian states Punjab in the west and Haryana in the East of the city. Chandigarh is beautiful architectural city designed by the French-speaking Swiss architect Le Corbusier. Visit Rock garden and other sights. Overnight stay in Chandigarh.
Day 2 - Chandigarh - Dalhousie
After breakfast, drive to Dalhousie (318 km). Arrival and transfer to hotel. From Dalhousie one can have the view over the valleys flowed through by rivers Chenab , Beas and Ravi and of the snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas. Dalhousie was earlier the recreation center of the Britishers and today live here many emigrated Tibetan. Overnight in Dalhousie.
Day 3 - Excursion to Chamba and Khajjiar
After breakfast go for excursion to Chamba (52 km each side). On the way visit Khajjiar temples. Chamba is situated at the foot of the Himalaya. Chamba is a cultural center of north India with important temple concern and a tradition yet living today also in painting and bronze cultures. Evening drive back to Dalhousie for overnight stay.
Day 4 - Dalhousie - Dharamshala
After breakfast, drive to Dharamshala (150 km). McLeod Ganj was the residence of Dalai Lama, Tenzing Gyatso. He fled in 1959 out of Tibet here. At the same time, Dharamshala is the seat of the Tibetan exile government. Visit the residence of the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan monastery, the museum and the library. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
Day 6 - Dharamshala - Manali
After breakfast, drive to Manali (235 km). Arrival and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy the nature.
Day 7 - Manali
Manali - the queen of the mountains - is surrounded by 5000 to 6000 ms high snow-covered mountains and is one of the most important starting points for Trekking-tours. On your half-day excursion, visit the 450-year's old Hadimba Devi temple, the Vashist sulphur bath and the Tibetan monastery. Rest of the day free for own activities.
Day 8 - Manali - Shimla
After breakfast drive to Shimla (270 km). Arrival and transfer to hotel. Shimla is the capital of state Himachal Pradesh and earlier the summer residence of the British viceroys. Enjoy the walk through the Mall Street. Shimla is also an ideal place for buying handicrafts. Rest of the day free for own activities. Overnight in Shimla.
Day 9 - Excursion to Kufri and Chail
After breakfast go for excursion to Kufri and Chail to enjoy the beauty of nature. Overnight stay in Shimla.
Day 10 - Shimla - Delhi
After breakfast, drive to Delhi. Arrival and transfer to international airport for onward journey.
